Re: The new STAR TREK movie
Thanks Jarg
I enjoyed that. Looks like Star Trek will be appealing to several new generations. I bet Gene would be proud. Spock is that actor that plays Syler on Heroes, cool. Can't wait to see it. I hope they don't rely too heavily on CGI and mediocre writing, that would be a series killer for me. Hard to tell content from the trailer.

Saw it.
I am a fan of "my father's" Star Trek. I grew up on it. The new Trek??
FRICKIN LOVED IT!
If you are an old school fan, go see it! If you are not a fan, go see it! JJ Abrahms did a wonderful job.

Damn good movie. I know plenty of people that don't like ST that liked it anyway. Was quite well done, not the crap I expected from abrams at all after seeing crapperfield. The plot, well I had wondered how some of the shit in the previews could occur and I guess they found a way. I predicted that as the only way to have those things happen, joking, kinda funny that I was right.

Re: The new STAR TREK movie
I really love Star Trek. Grew up with TOS and have all the series on dvd now! (TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager & Enterprise). I think TOS and DS9 are my favorites. Enterprise wasn’t that bad either in my opinion, a pity it did only 4 seasons. Actually thinking about buying TOS remastered also. That one is 2 sided (Dvd and Blueray). The new movie is a prequel to TOS. The star trek movie until now which I liked the most is “First Contact”.

Went out and saw it last Wednesday. I did have some problems with it but I will hold off on commenting until more people get a chance to see it.

They should have concentrated on the other series spinoffs. DS9, VOY & ENT.
